  • Have you ever thought when you have a sore throat, you might crave that hot bowl of soup that your grandma makes? Soup with mushed veggies is easy on your throat. What can be better than a hot soup that soothes your throat?
  • Oatmeal is another option to try with a sore throat or tonsillitis. They are rich in antioxidants and vitamins. They possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and can soothe your painful throat.
  • Mashed potatoes, pasta, jell-O, cantaloupe, and apples are other options that are easy on your sore throat.
  • Ginger is another effective remedy to cure a sore throat. While consuming it raw is one of the most effective ways of easing a sore throat, consuming it as ginger honey tea, ginger lozenge or even using it as a seasoning can help.

Bananas are soft and can be used as one of the delicious options to eat with a sore throat. Bananas are high in vitamin C, potassium, vitamin B6 and other nutrients that can heal a sore throat. 

Sore throat is painfu mainly due to inflammation and itchiness. Ginger is an effective remedy for a sore throat with anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces the growth of sore throat-causing pathogens. 

Honey is a great remedy for a sore throat. It has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. These properties of honey reduce pain and inflammation. 

Lemon is rich in vitamin C that helps fight infection. Mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in warm water if you need quick relief from a sore throat. Lemon water soothes the pain.
